Some people keep the hockey schedule on the fridge. We keep a makers’ calendar.

Below are twelve Toronto markets, in the order you will meet them. Every date comes from an organiser’s own page, and every entry links to it. Dates move, so check before you go.

What is on in November?

Roncesvalles United Church’s Annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Market is on November 7, 2026. The church is at 240 Roncesvalles Avenue. It is a juried market, and all applicants must sell original work.

The 13th Annual Christmas Market lands on November 7, 2026 at The Bentway, 250 Fort York Boulevard. It features 140 handpicked artists, food vendors, holiday shopping and music. Free tickets are available through the organiser’s site.

The 2026 village runs from November 12 to January 3, 2027, at 55 Mill Street. It pairs cobblestone laneways with festive food and drinks, local artisans and carollers. Admission is free before 4 p.m. daily, and all day Monday to Wednesday through December 13. Our Distillery Winter Village guide has the rest.

The fair is happening November 21 to 22, 2026 at the George Brown Waterfront Campus, 51 Dockside Drive. Destination Ontario describes traditional food, Lucia, folk dancing, crafts, a book corner and Swedish-designed products.

The Christmas Show runs November 27 to December 6, 2026 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place. It brings 800+ Canadian artisans offering handmade gifts, festive décor, art, fashion and gourmet treats. A Late Night Shopping Party lands on Thursday, December 3.

Every Sunday from November 29 to December 20, the Winter Market fills the Brick Works at 550 Bayview Avenue. The Ontario Vintage & Artisan Market is part of it, pitched as a source of one-of-a-kind gifts from small Ontario businesses and artisans. Entry is pay-what-you-can, and fire pits are lit on November 29 and December 6.

What is on in December?

City of Craft returns to The Theatre Centre, 1115 Queen Street West, on December 4 to 6, 2026. The Theatre Centre describes it as a not-for-profit, juried craft show held each December. The Small Paper-Goods Market returns downstairs.

The 10th Annual Christmas Pop Up is on Sunday, December 6, 2026. It is a free pop-up with 80+ Toronto artists and artisans at the Great Hall on Queen Street West.

Is anything on in January and February?

The Distillery Winter Village carries the makers’ torch until January 3. After that, the next date we could confirm is the end of February.

The 12th annual Urban Exhibit is on February 21, 2027 at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West. It is a free, indoor art market with 60+ Toronto artists and artisans.

What is on in April?

The 2027 Spring Market runs April 1 to April 4, 2027.

The 11th Annual Spring Pop Up lands on April 18, 2027 at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West. It is a free, indoor art market with 60+ Toronto artists and artisans.

What is on from May to September?

The Roncy Flea lists 2027 dates on the second Saturday of the month from May to September: May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14 and September 11. The Roncy Flea’s page lives on the website of Roncesvalles United Church, which is at 240 Roncesvalles Avenue. The page thanks those who attend and support local creators, crafters and entrepreneurs, and says vendor application links will be added beside the dates starting in April 2027.

Evergreen’s Ontario Artisan Market and Ontario Vintage Market ran most Sundays from May to October. Evergreen says the artisan side has over 40 local artists and makers. We did not find 2027 dates yet, so watch Evergreen’s page in the new year.

Which kind of market suits you?

Think of this calendar as four flavours, and this part is our opinion.

The church-hall classic. Roncy United’s Christmas market and the Roncy Flea are community-scale, with a juried or applied-for lineup and a neighbourhood feel. Go when you want to chat with the person who made the mug.

The pop-up. The Toronto Art Crawl’s Great Hall pop-ups are free and feature Toronto artists and artisans. They suit a Sunday errand that turns into an hour of browsing, and a short wander along Queen Street West afterward.

The festive day out. The Distillery Winter Village and the Evergreen Winter Market add food, fire pits and a bit of theatre to the shopping. Make an afternoon of it.

The big show. One Of A Kind is a destination, with 800+ artisans under one roof. Bring a bag, take a lap, and decide before you buy.

How should you use this calendar?

Here is our opinion: pick one market per month and make it a ritual. November is for gift hunting. April is for a reset. Summer is for sunshine and a table of earrings.

If you are shopping for someone specific, buy something small from a maker you met, and ask what they would like you to know about it. Handmade gifts tend to come with a story, and the story is half the present.

A few habits help. Start with the markets that sit near transit. Bring a tote and a little patience. Give yourself time to stop and talk, because makers love explaining their process. And if a piece catches your eye early, circle back at the end of your lap.
