Terms
Terms of use
Short and plain. By using this site you agree to them.
Updated 17 October 2026
The Loop TO, an independent Toronto city publication. The site is owned and operated by The Loop TO, Toronto, Ontario.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, share and link to our stories. Please do not copy whole stories to republish elsewhere, scrape the site at a rate that slows it down, or try to break or get around its protections. Quoting a few lines with a link back is fine.
Our content
The writing, layout and design are ours. Images are credited on the image credits page, and many carry their own open licences, which you can follow if you want to reuse them. Trademarks and logos belong to their owners.
Check before you go
We check dates, venues and details against the organiser's official page before we publish, but plans change. Hours, prices, tickets and dates may differ by the time you read a story, and some events are cancelled or moved. Please check the official site before you travel, buy tickets or plan around anything you read here.
What you send us
When you submit an event, tip, message or photo, you tell us it is yours to share, or that you have permission. You keep your rights. You give us permission to read, store, edit and use what you send, with credit where it makes sense, to write about it or to reply to you. Photos are used only if you confirm you own or may share them. We may decline anything, and we never publish a submission automatically. What we do with your details is in the privacy notice.
Links to other sites
We link to official sites and other sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they say or do.
No guarantees
We work hard to be accurate, and we fix mistakes (see corrections), but the site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, The Loop TO is not liable for losses from using the site or relying on its information.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
