Restaurants in Toronto We Have Verified Are Open

We do not rank Toronto restaurants. We list places we have verified are open, and we source every fact.

Here is how this guide works, plainly. We do not publish a ranked list of the best restaurants in Toronto, because a ranking is an opinion, and we would rather give you facts you can check. What you will find instead is a set of places we have confirmed are open, with the details that are true about them.

A restaurant appears in The Loop only after we verify that it is currently operating. That means recent activity on the restaurant's own site or booking page, plus a second, independent source naming it as open in 2025 or 2026. If we cannot show both, the place does not run. Every detail we state is sourced to the restaurant itself, the City of Toronto or an established news outlet, and anything that is simply our taste is marked as our pick.

We leave out prices, hours and phone numbers because they change, and each entry links to the restaurant's own site instead. Start with a neighbourhood, a meal or an occasion below, and bring someone hungry.
